Description
The Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003 comes into effect in April 2005. This new Act will replace the current Mental Health (Scotland) Act 1984.
Malcolm Chisholm (the Minister for Health and Community Care) set up a small team led by Dr Sandra Grant to look at the services that are in place at the moment and any changes that are planned, in order to decide whether the services will be available and ready on time for April 2005.
