Description
Following our drug alert no.2/2007, issued on 25 January for AZ size aluminium medical oxygen cylinders, BOC have now informed us that a small number of medical nitrous oxide AZ cylinders may also present a danger when used in MRI units. These cylinders have an old type of key operated valve fitted which contains a ferromagnetic component that makes the cylinder package potentially hazardous when used near some MRI scanners.
