Description
The Public Bodies (Joint Working) (Scotland) Act 2014 sets out the principles which will underpin integrated health and social care.
These principles describe “how” integrated care should be planned and delivered. They are intended to work in tandem with the national health and wellbeing outcomes, which describe “what” integrated care is intended to achieve. Building on the priorities outlined in the Christie Commission’s vision for the future of public services, the integration principles set out the expectation of a culture of respect, parity of esteem and genuine engagement in the planning and delivery of person-centred, high quality integrated care.
