Lansoprazole 15mg and 30mg orodispersible tablets are in limited supply until early January 2027.
Lansoprazole 15mg and 30mg gastro-resistant capsules remain available and can support increased demand.
Alternative proton pump inhibitors remain available.
UK-wide Serious Shortage Protocols (SSPs) for lansoprazole 15mg and 30mg orodispersible tablets were issued on 9 September 2026 which allows community pharmacists to limit supply to one month. Please refer to PCA(P)(2026)14 and PCA(P)(2026)15 for more details.
